I can't believe how often I have heard various expressions on the radio and on television that I recognize [from Pukka German]

Thank you very much for providing such a useful service. I can't believe how often I have heard various expressions on the radio and on television that I recognize that I've heard/seen in one of your lessons. I am not quite up to speed yet that I recognize and understand them all just yet, but I'm learning them slowly, and at least I recognize that they are colloquialisms that I can easily find in one of your lessons. Very practical and useful. Thank you so much for all of the hard work you two have put in to this site! I appreciate it very much!

Karl

support our effort to provide a fresh picture of the German language and culture...

Hi Tyler, I’m writing to ask you to support our effort to provide a fresh picture of the German language and culture in the United States. We recently launched SpreadGermanisms.com to promote the the German language in the United States in a fun and exciting way.

Since we just started, we’d be interested to get your feedback - let us know what you think about our effort, website, etc. Furthermore we would like to know if you’d be willing to spread the word within your community, write about our website or link to it from your blog?

Thanks for your interest,

Chris Haller

really great for chatting with native German speakers...

What a brilliant website. Perfect. Just the kind of thing I'm looking for! I'm an A-Level German student and this is the kind of stuff that's really useful for the language; really great for chatting with native German speakers and especially understanding their conversation.

PS. Very nice site design. Very stylish :)

I stumbled across your podcasts and fell in love with them

Nick's StudioGuys, Love the podcasts. I just graduated from The Ohio State University and while I was there studied abroad in Dresden, Germany. When I came back I ditched the formal education and persued my proficiency in German through reading and Deutsche Welle. Anyways I stumbled across your podcasts and fell in love with them, listening to them on my weekley trip to Cleveland. I have been dying to get back to Germany since my schooling and hearing you guys having so much fun makes the drive fly by.

I just started to translate my songs into German to hopefully start a following for my music abroad and I would really like you to check out my song "Mit einem Feuer" (my first attempt). A friend I met in Dresden, who now lives in Bonn, helped with the translation. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks again!

I love the new widget, it makes learning German way easier!

Thank you sooo much Lisa and Tyler, for creating this awesome learning tool!! I love the new widget, it makes learning German way easier! I hope you both are settling well in Munich.

Vielen vielen Dank.

Carmen

Sein Arschloch ist zugeschnappt...

What about the German phrase: Sein Arschloch ist zugeschnappt--the same as the English phrase, "He kicked the bucket."

Best,

Doug

Ich mache einen Deutschekurs, aber "Colloquialism" lernen wir kaum

Ich finde den Podcast super, anders und ganz nützlich, und die Themen viel interessanter als andere. Ich mache einen Deutschekurs, aber "Colloquialism" lernen wir kaum. Danke Lisa und Tyler, dass sie mir und Leute überall auf der Welt zum Deutschlernen helfen.

I truly enjoy your program as my daily hearing exercise and find every single lesson soooo helpful.

viele Grüße aus NYC,

Harue

after listening and reading carefully, the exercises were a breeze!

Hi Tyler! Thanks so much for creating Pukka! I've been looking for quite a while for sites that I can learn German from and just happened to stumble across Pukka last night. And now I know all about reden and can't wait to catch up with the other podcasts and exercises! I love how you and Lisa intersperse English with German and include the complete transcripts of your casts. I was afraid it might be a bit beyond my level at first, but after listening and reading carefully, the exercises were a breeze!

I'm actually going to be moving to Munich in September so need to learn as much Deutsch as I can, as quickly as I can. I love that you guys focus on language and phrases that Germans actually use. So much of what I've found so far has the same boring, utilitarian, "Wo ist die Bahnhof?" feel.

Macht's gut,

Greg

Ich habe die Podcasts sehr hilfreich gefunden

Vielen Dank, Tyler.

Keep up the good work! (Wie sagt man denn DAS auf deutsch?)

Bis bald,

Andy

Macht weiter so!

Danke und Tschüß

Christian
