Learn German podcast PG36 - House-Hunt 2
Today we continue where we left off last time with more useful German words and phrases related to moving home. A few of today's gems are the German equivalent for "out in the sticks" or "the middle of nowhere", the German translation of "to be hell bent" as well as the German version of "concrete jungle" (funny enough the German phrase doesn't refer to a jungle at all, but a desert!)
Moving is no walk in the park.

PG36 Transcript - House-Hunt 2
Continued from PG0035:Tyler: Yeah, Lisa went nuts making viewing appointments. We'd only planned to be Munich for three days and before I knew it, Lisa had made appointments to view 25 apartments! She had us navigating with our city map from one end of town to the next from the crack of day until the early evening. Man was that exhausting but I tried to be on my best behaviour…
Tyler: That’s true. Lisa was hell bent on having a nice sunny balcony and since we'd been so spoilt in Freiburg we definitely wanted to be close to some green spaces and parks.
Tyler: Fortunately the public transport in Munich is excellent and we just use the car for special occasions or getting out on the weekend.
Tyler: In fact out of the 25 apartments that we looked at, it was the one that we liked the most and strangely enough, it was also the most affordable.
