PG35 Transcript - House-Hunt

Tyler: As you know, I was happy living in Freiburg so when Lisa got her new job and we were faced with moving to Munich, I had mixed feelings. On the one hand, I knew that I'd miss Freiburg's welcoming student atmosphere and mountain biking in the city's beautiful natural surroundings. On the other hand I was excited to experience something new and Munich being a much larger city with 1.3 million inhabitants is definitely no dormitory town but one with a lot of social and cultural life.

Tyler: Yeah it's pretty crazy. Before you even move you could have to pay the equivalent of roughly 6 months rent, which includes a deposit, estate agent fees and of course your first month's rent.

Tyler: Yeah, Lisa went nuts making viewing appointments. We'd only planned to be Munich for three days and before I knew it, Lisa had made appointments to view 25 apartments! She had us navigating with our city map from one end of town to the next from the crack of day until the early evening. Man was that exhausting but I tried to be on my best behaviour.
